Oh, give me a home where the buffalo roam
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
We first found this area when we were looking for a new cache near the Weir. We were lost .... so if you are near the Weir looking for this cache you are in the wrong place.

That cache caused a number of local cachers to meet for the first time – and discover all sorts of tracks. We now feel much more at ‘Home on the Range’ than we used to, thanks to the caches placed by bumandworker, eraserman, Kiwi_Explorer, navfam , topgear01, and wanderingfree. We especially thank Biggles for the other eight caches.
Today we found the last few caches as we wandered the range and recalled the other visits. And that finally prompted us to set this cache in the area we discovered that memorable day.
The terrain reflects the short scramble required at the end. You need to scramble up to a dead punga - and look. The cache is a larger micro - a painted plastic bottle that has been left so part is visible. Please leave it the same way.
Reception was not great but the co-ordinates will get you to the right area and the cache notes will get you to the cache. Please feel free to post better co-ordinates if you have them.
