This cache is located in Chapman State Park. Penny Run Trail was named for a former park superintendent's wife. The container is an ammo can. Stop at the park office for a map of the park showing this trail and others. Cache placed in park with DCNR permission. Follow all CSP parking regulations. This cache is part of the Chapman State Park Geo-Trail series.
Penny Run Trail is a 1.4 miles long loop traveling through a diverse hardwood and hemlock forest. The nearby stream is part of the local watershed and a water source utilized by organisms living in and around it. Deer and other wildlife use this area as part of their habitat which includes food, water, shelter and space. Penny Run Trail is a moderately difficult trail used for hiking and cross country skiing.
