This is a challenge to find 12 of the 20 oldest active caches in Rhode Island. Located at posted location, just a short walk down the trail from one: (gc215c) of the 20 oldest active caches. Please log this only as a find once you have logged finds on 12 of those oldies. My cache location is a sunset hilltop view and set up to sit and log on the breezy stones. Caches is on a spur trail just 20 feet from the great 'Warner trail'(blazed w white circles) (see their page above..) wide trail.
I found that doing the older ones usually assured me that I would experience a view or a vista or a pleasant stroll and a regular size stash. I began to seek out these ones that, in order to survive ten years or more in the wood, have typically recieved maintenance and support of the community along those long years: truly worthy of perpetuation. I lapped massachusetts finding the oldest surviving 25 there and the odyssey was indeed wonderful. Next I sought one from every month of publication and again the oldies were fun hilltops and big enough for a travel bug and a good log entry! I offer this challenge to serve as a bookmark and a pleasure guide. indeed: at a close current review there are #115 pages equalling 2292 caches in R.I. and these oldest are by-in-large regular size and open to all users. Nice to see. Our focus is on what is now p #115 &116(p143 as of 4/11/15). Just hit tab of "related web page" near the top of this cachepage and when the list comes up hit the >> tab and you will hit the last page and oldest.
