Geocache Description:

Potentially difficult find due to quarry walls, boulders, rocks, climbing, and sketchy readings.

I was surfing around on google earth (one of my past times) when I saw this quarry with a road leading to it. I immediately set out to explore it and  was not disappointed.

Welcome to a well-kept secret, the Bolton Quarry. Take a moment to read the kiosk sign and maybe do some web searching later to see what all is going on here. I have a request to make that i have never had to make on a cache before and that is "Cache Quietly". If there are rock climbers nearby, noise distracts them from work that really needs their attention. Also, the cliffs are a protected area because Peregrin Falcons nest here. The area of the caches is safe and NOT off limits as i don't have you climbing in the nesting area. Please see the sign in the gallery which explains about the nesting.

When you park, if you're looking for Stage 1, your GPS is going to point you the opposite direction of the trial head. That's OK, you'll have to go away from the cache and circle around first. As you near the cache you have two options for getting to GZ. One way is a terrain 5 as it leads you to a rope and a ladder. If you choose this path, you will repel about 7-9 ft down the rope which is already there, then make your way down a very sturdy ladder.

If terrain 5's are not your thing, or if you have a geodog, you will have to find the alternative trail to get you to GZ which has no climbing involved. I purposely am not putting any trail head coords as finding it for yourself adds a little to the fun. Besides, it's easy to find if you look for the nesting sign.
Due to the difficulty of finding containers among stones with so many hidey holes, I have made some specific hints.
