Geocache Description:

Fifty-first in a series paying homage to some of our favorite books. This one is for Karon Luddy's Spelldown: The Big-Time Dreams of a Small-Town Word Whiz.

Description from Amazon:

Thirteen-year-old Karlene Bridges is the best speller in her family, her hometown, and maybe even all of Shirley County, South Carolina. The trouble is, every time she makes it to the final round of a spelling bee, she chokes. But when Mrs. Harrison, the new Latin teacher, offers to coach her, Karlene's spelling jinx miraculously disappears. The year 1969 is turning out to be her best ever, especially since she develops a surprising crush on her best friend, Billy Ray. But as soon as Karlene aims to compete in the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D. C., her father's drinking begins to spell trouble. How is a girl supposed to hold her family together, savor her first kiss, and become the best speller in America before the end of eighth grade? Debut novelist Karon Luddy spells out adolescence with unwavering faith and sass in a novel about big dreams and the people who make them happen.

**cache is at posted coordinates, however this is a challenge cache that has logging requirements**
Do you ever look at a GC when you are looking for a cache or logging one and say cool that spells out... If so then this might be a challenge for you.

Here are the rules:

1. In order to log this challenge you must use GC's on caches you have found to spell out 35 unique words that are at least 3 letters in length, in addition you MUST have at least one word that is 4 or more letters and one word that is 5 letters. (e.g. 33 3 letter words, one 4 letter word and one 5 letter word). All words must be able to be located in the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary (see related web page if you need help finding it). Each word you are spelling must be from a unique cache, and all past finds DO count.

2. Any cache type will count towards this challenge.

3. Caches you own or have adopted will not count for this challenge.

4. I guess I'm feeling sort of nice so I'll give you some help, instead of numbers being useless I'll let you use them as follows: 0= O 1= I 2= C 3= E 4= H 5= S 6= B 7= L 9= D... Oh did I forget 8, go ahead and use that as a Wildcard (any letter you want to use, however it can only be used a maximum of 2 times!)

5. You can either list your caches in your log with GC#, Word you are spelling, and Date found, or you can create a bookmark list, please include date found in the bookmark list. Example: 1) GC10FEE - "Fee" - 09/11/10, In the bookmark list you will just need to list the word you are spelling and the date found.

6. I'm sorry if this was not clear but the word must be spelled out without rearranging the letters in the GC Example: 1) GC10FEE - "Fee" would count b/c the letters FEE are next to each other. GC4TA would not spell HAT as the "letters" for it are HTA. See Quadwrays list for an example of what we are looking for.
p.s. As always, if you have a book suggestion, let us know...we may even put a cache out there for you! You may sign the log whenever you want, but cannot log until you meet all requirements.
