Playa del Vao
La Playa del Vao está situada en la parroquia de Corujo en el municipio de Vigo, perteneciente a la provincia de Pontevedra. Esta playa cuenta con un paseo que en el verano atrae a numerosos turistas.
El tamaño de su arenal es de 800 metros de largo por 45 metros de ancho. Es una de las playas más frecuentadas de Vigo, junto con la Playa de Samil. La arena granítica es extremadamente fina y blanca. Las aguas son frías y claras. Además de la vegetación dunar y las plantaciones de pinos y palmeras foráneas son comunes los chopos, que se han naturalizado entre las dunas. En el entorno se han plantado otras especies como el castaño de indias o el roble carballo, sin éxito.
El antiguo paseo fue destruido a finales de los años noventa para recuperar terreno al arenal cuando se construyó uno nuevo más reducido y se plantó un pinar. Recientemente se retiró el campo de fútbol para recuperar parte del sistema dunar.
El topónimo O Vao (vado, pasaje en gallego) se refiere al paso que había hasta la Isla de Toralla, antiguamente unida a la playa por una lengua de Arena. La playa se encuentra al lado de un poblamiento prerromano y romano en el que había numerosas salinas. Todavía hoy quedan restos de un antiguo castro tanto en la isla como en el otro extremo. El concello de Vigo ha excavado y recuperado parte del poblado romano.
Cerca se encuentra la capilla del Carmen de Corujo.

Nuestro recorrido empieza en la villa romana de toralla (está a la izquierda cruzando la carretera que va a la isla de toralla) .Aquí buscaremos el panel de información de la villa y buscaremos:

Nº de salinas que tenía la villa (B).
Ahora nos daremos la vuelta y mirando hacia la isla de toralla contaremos cuantos pilares tiene el puente (C).
Volviendo por el camino echo tendremos que contar las fuentes que hay en el paseo (solo las que haya por el parquin asfaltado) (D).
Y por último debemos acercarnos a la iglesia de Nuestra Señora Virgen del Carmen y ver en qué año fue fundada (E).Este fecha deberemos sumar todos los números entre sí.

El caché contiene un logbook y un lápiz(que no se pueden sacar), una peonza, trompo, peluche de un pato, smile y un silbato. Ser cuidadosos pues es una zona muy transitada.
