Geocache Description:

Come find this geocache on the eastern end of Busiek and enjoy one of the neatest spots in this state forest.  While I named this one Talise Falls, don't expect a running waterfall unless it has just poured or it is during the wet season.  From what I've learned of waterfalls, November through about March is the best time to cache a running falls.

You can park at either one of the two listed parking coordinates to begin your trek, depending on how far you want to hike.  The main parking area at Busiek will give you about a 1.75 mile hike in to the cache, creating a 3.5 mile round trip hike via the Red and Yellow trails.  If you prefer a shorter trek, you can park at the other listed parking coordinates, on the far east side of Busiek.  Be warned, the road getting down to this parking spot is gravel and very steep and rough in spots.  Most vehicles should be okay, but you've been warned...

I would suggest printing out a map of Busiek before heading out on the trails.  You can find one at http://extra.mdc.mo.gov/documents/area_brochures/8109map.pdf

I named this one Talise Falls after my seven year old daughter (Talise, pronouced "tahl-eeze", is her middle name).  We found this neat spot during a 5.25 mile hike her and I took on 6/3/2012.  We started from the main parking area and took the Red Trail most of the way to this spot.  We were tired and decided to rest on the rocks here for a while.  I just knew this would be a great spot for a cache, and we came back the next day and placed one here.  You are looking for a traditional ammo box.

This is a very rocky area.  Keep an eye out for snakes and other critters during the warmer months.

Happy caching, and happy hiking...oh, and there is an Eisenhower Dollar for the FTF!
