Geocache Description:

Feeling like a hike?
Elk Mountain is a great hike to do with amazing views at the top.

The cache is about  a 20 minute hike from the trailhead. Continue on for another  45 minutes to an hour to the first lookout of the valley.
Another 20 minutes beyond the lookout and  and you will reach the summit of Elk Mountain.
The views here are breathtaking and well worth the effort.  In late spring and summer you will find beautiful wildflowers and wild strawberries.
