Geocache Description:

The Cache is located between 2 waterfalls, you will find the Cache behind the higher of two trees on the left handside above head hight. Go carefully, if you take a carrier bag you can put the cache into it and Manoeuvre about with both hands.

**** Best you look for this cache in good weather

This Cache was placed with the kind permission of the Pencilli Estate and HAQ (Honerable Artillary Company) Access is best and most rewarded via forrestry track at SO 006 129 just off the A470, follow the track upwards and ignore any tracks left or right on the way up. Great views are found to the left of the track as it gains height and a good view of the Cwm itself is also seen from a turning circle just before the end of the forrest track.

The terrain is very tussocky on higher ground out on the moor, you can drop down into the Cwm itself just after crossing the stile at SO 013 143 and head for an old shepherds shelter with a green polythene roof at SO 014 148. From the shelter there are 2 valleys choose the right hand one, (you will probably have to cross the stream just after the shelter to make for more accessible ground), keep following the valley up to the location of the cache. You will need to cross the stream several times or more to make for easier ground along the way, poles come in handy here, please avoid this route though if the stream is in spate. Also please be aware that rocks in the stream will be slippery if wet, so try to keep to the dry rocks above the water level

Please take great care, take a mobile and leave a route card with someone, nobody ever comes here. Avoid any boulders or slabs you find on the flanks of the cwm as these are usually cracked and loose and can suddenly slide off they're mountings if you put pressure on them. The Cwm walls are slippery when wet, and in places where there is no vegitation can be dangerous ! so please avoid climbing any flanks where vegitation is at a minimum.
