Geocache Description:

I'm just adding to the fun set of caches genegene has set up along Rt. 9 from Dalton to Northampton Mass.

This series is set up to be quick park and grabs to break up your journey.

Congratulations to BevanQ on the FTF!

A small camo'ed Lock & Lock.

I have set up a few caches along Rt. 9 from Dalton Ma. and will eventually end in Northampton Ma. This series is set up to be quick park and grabs to break up your journey west towards the Berkshires or east towards Northampton.

The Westfield River was designated as Massachusetts' first national wild and Scenic river in 1993. It includes 43 miles of the east, west, and middle branches of the River. Please take a moment to look at this great river on your trip while you take a rest at this Rest area.

I hope you enjoy Rt. 9 as much as I do and use it whenever you can, There are lots of little stores along Rt. 9 that are nice little mom and pop operations. I think its a better route instead of the boring old Pike.
