Geocache Description:

The Ohio State University – Rust Cache is located on the campus of the Ohio State University and can be found at the Sisson Hall Footbridge, not far from Lincoln/Morrill Towers and Ohio Stadium.

The item you are looking for contains a log and some room left over for a few small items such as Geocoins, small flat Trackables, very small swag, and inexpensive foreign or interesting coins. There should be a small pencil inside, but bring your own writing utensil just in case.

The Cache is not hard to find but be aware of the high Muggle traffic in the area during the day. Please use stealth when searching to help keep this cache from being muggled. Best times to search are weekends and at night but beware, there may be someone lurking around the corner when you think there is no-one around.

I highly suggest using the footbridge from the west from Sisson Hall, or from the east from the direction Lincoln and Morrill Towers near Ohio Stadium, to get to the cache. Parking is not allowed on Olentangy River Road, you can take the short walk on the sidewalk along the road from Lane ave, but the sidewalk south of the footbridge is not in the best condition.

Parking is enforced on campus 24/7.
When geocaching on campus, you must park in a public parking garage or visit a Pay-n-Display machine.
The Pay-n-Display pay machine allows you to park in any visitor or non-restricted A, B, or C surface space but is not valid in parking garages. You must display the receipt on your dashboard. The machine only accepts coins or credit cards.
There are Pay-n-Display pay machines ($1.50/hr) nearby at the Sisson Hall, Lincoln Tower, Morrill Tower, and Ohio Stadium parking lots, however, parking can be hard to find when classes are in session during the day. Also traffic and parking can be very difficult to navigate and park during home football Saturday game days in the fall.

Be sure to:
-Bring a writing utensil.
-Search and find the cache discreetly, it is located near a highly used Muggle walkway.
-Log your find.
-Replace container tightly and securely to the rust in the EXACT same spot you retrieved it from.
-Drop off small trackables, trade inexpensive foreign/interesting coins & small swag if possible.
-Do the Ohio State Campus Self-Guided Walking tour.

Also be sure to check out the other great caches nearby on campus including my other OSU caches.
