Geocache Description:

A traditional cache along the picturesque Stroud Water Navigation.

This is a series of initially seven caches placed along the Stroud Water Navigation. The Stroud Water Navigation is the first part of the Canal link between the Severn and the Thames. It originally brought boats from the Severn to Stroud. Currently the canals are undergoing restoration and are becoming a very pleasant recreation route. These caches have been placed with the kind permission of the Cotswold Canals Trust. I have opted not to number the caches for the good reason that I may add more in between as restoration takes place and also there are existing caches between some of mine.

Bonds Mill
Bonds Mill was once one of the lagest cloth mills in the area. Originally rented by John Bond in 1714 and operated until 1934 when it was taken over by the Ministry of Defence. Today it remains as industrial units.
The Canal bridge is a new structure that is once again able to swing open to allow boats to pass.

Congratulations ClanKenn on FTF despite the weather
