All ages are invited to this family-friendly free event. C'mon out and get acquainted! The event is expected to last no longer than 30 minutes. Ample parking and picnic tables are on-site. Handicap-accessible. Food, beverages, restrooms and gas is available from nearby merchants. RSVP appreciated but not required.
Saturday, 06/30/12. 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Upon arrival, participants will be given a survey flag to mark the location of the coordinates provided. The flags will allow everyone to see how GPS units vary while programmed with the same coordinates. A limited number of ‘cache containers will be given away to those who attend this event. There are approximately 68 ‘caches on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. About 22 of the ‘caches are located on Chincoteague Island. Details for an optional self-guided GPS Island Tour after this event will be available. There are several yard sales and the Chincoteague Carnival is underway downtown so there is plenty on the island to check out after this event. Hope to see you at the GPS "'Cache Mob" Event.
