Rotvoll Asyl Traditional Cache

Rotvold Asyl ble bygget i 1867-1872 på gården Rotvoll Nedre. Arkitekt var Ole Falck Ebbel.
 
Rotvoll sykehus var et statseid sykehus for sinnslidende pasienter, og var ved oppførelsen et svært tidsmessig anlegg. Den første pasienten ble tatt imot 5. januar 1872. Ett hundre år senere ble pasient nr 13890 innlagt.
 
Sykehuset ble ombygd i 1919-1928. Arkitekt var Ove Bjerke Holtermann. Fra 1980 ble sykehuset kalt Charlottenlund sykehus til det ble nedlagt i 1990. Nord- og Sør-Trøndelag fylkeskommuner overtok i fellesskap Rotvoll i 1962, og sykehuset ble en del av Trøndelag Psykiatriske Sykehus, forkortet TPS.
 
Den tidligere D-fløyen fra 1872 ble i 1996 tatt i bruk som Nordenfjellske Psykiatrihistoriske Museum.
 
Fra 1994 flyttet Høgskolen i Sør-Trøndelag, avdeling for lærer- og tolkeutdanning inn her. I tillegg holder stiftelsen Kunstskolen på Rotvoll til i bygget.

Rotvoll hospital was a state-owned hospital for mentally ill patients, and the construction was a very timely construction. The first patient was received 5 January 1872. One hundred years later, the patient admitted No. 13890.
 
The hospital was rebuilt in 1919-1928. The architect was Ove Bjerke Holtermann. From 1980, the hospital was named Charlottenlund hospital until it was closed in 1990. North and South Trøndelag counties acquired jointly Rotvoll in 1962, the hospital became part of Trøndelag Psychiatric Hospital, shortened TPS.
 
The former D-Wing from 1872 to 1996 was used as Nordenfjellske Psychiatry History Museum.
 
From 1994 moved Sør-Trøndelag, Department of Teacher and Interpreter Education in here. In addition, it keeps Foundation Art School in Rotvoll in the building.
