blackbolt729: As stated one month ago, this series and these caches had a good run, but it is time to move on. Thank you to everyone who found them and the neat "civil war" type logs! They were fun to read.

Geocache Description:


This is one of five caches that will contain a clue to the final sixth north cache. All of the Civil War North caches, will be north of PA route 422 and be named after famous North Civil War Generals. These caches will also take you on a scenic drive through western Berks county and Mrs. Blackbolt's stomping grounds. The Civil War South Caches will be south of PA 422 and named after famous Southern Generals an also contain clues for the final 6th south cache. Additionally there will be a bonus cache that can be found by combining clues from both of the final sixth caches.

John Fulton Reynolds was born in Lancaster, PA on 9/20/1820. He dedicated his life to serving in the U.S. Army. As Gen. Chamberlain, Reynolds fame came about from the Civil War. Reynolds famous qoute was shared with his men on the very first day at the Battle of Gettysburg. He was yelling to his men this saying, "Forward Men! For God's Sake Forward!" At the same time that Reynolds was yelling to his troops he was mortialy shot in the back of his lower head, falling from his horse and dying almost instantly. He was pronounced dead on 7/1/1863 on the battle field.
