Old Iron Wheel at the Terrible Creek Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NCreviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in a wooded area, it explores a forgotten peice of history as well as the beauty of how nature always takes back what belongs to it.

This is my first hide! Hope you like it!

Out near the coordinates is an old bridge. This bridge was closed due to its inability to hold weight for modern vehicles as well as the fact that if that road was still open it would be a dangerous S curve. During the fall you can spot the old speed limit sign still standing.

Park on the side of the bridge that is closest to the coordinates. PLEASE note, the pond is owned by the american legion. Not under any circumstances should you have to venture into the pond! Also it is advisable not to park where the legion parking area is, this park at the end of the road.

From your parking space simply hop out of the car and venture to the left of the barricade for a path onto the old bridge. Once on the old bridge feel free to look around, but the cache is not on the bridge.

Hop over the crash barrier and into the wooded area, follow the path careful not to slip and you will see the remnants of the iron age.

Explore the old Iron wheel and take in the marvel of the craftsmanship and the beauty of nature.

This cache is hidden decent and is simply a rust painted 4x3x2 tupperware cointainer. Cache is hidden under iron, so no need to dig through rocks or grass. Also no lifting of rusty iron is required. If you have any questions or need help please feel free to axel me. It's been brought to my attention a cache hid near here a while ago and was archived due to posted signs. The only posted sign here now is the one saying not to trespass onto the pond. Once again you should not have to go in or even near the pond for this cache!

Container could fit small objects such as coins, bring your own pen!

The hint below will almost make this hide a dead giveaway (this done so no one should have to register a DnF to keep it fun. Only look at the hint if you're stuck!
