Geocache Description:

The cache is dedicated to my good friend Robert who I first met on a scuba diving trip years ago.  We have stayed close and have enjoyed so many fun moments.  The cache can be found at his home - which is located here:

When I first met Robert, he was chatting with some bikini-clad vacationers at Atlantis. He made me laugh as he pretended to be so cool while wearing a shirt that had an arrow pointing down his pants with the following words printed above it: "I'm with stupid".

We ended up on the same beginner's scuba excursion. We talked about our interests, our pasts, hobbies, politics, favorite books (Robert had so many such as the "Old Man & the Sea", "Kon Tiki", "Sea Wolf", etc.). He didn't really care for TV though, he referred to it as the idiot box.

Once at the dive zone, we were paired up as "dive-buddies" and down we went. The water was warm and the colors beautiful. We were led on the dive by a woman named Georgia Pickles. Ms. Pickles was a blast - leading us down along coral reefs, to a 1970's shipwreck, and to view the largest starfish we have ever seen. To this day, every time Robert or I see a starfish, we call it Georgia Pickles.

Back at the bar after the dive, Robert and I enjoyed some drinks and great food including crab cakes, hamburger patties, and other snacks. The evening wore on and we soon turned to the evil bottle of tequila. I drank so much, and downed the bottle's inhabitant (from 3 bottles), that I earned my nickname "Wormy".

We both had to end our vacations but we remained in touch. Each year, wherever we were, we celebrated the anniversary of that fateful night by remembering old times, drinking tequila, and killing off countless brain cells. Robert called the first one, after way too much tequila, our "Single Cell Anniversary".

Once I was on business in Robert's hometown and he insisted on picking me up at the airport. He showed me the town and introduced me to all his family. "Meet my friend Wormy!" he said to everyone. I met everyone in his family and was slathered with his grandma's kisses.

By pure luck, Robert's job transferred him out here. "Hey Wormy" he shouted as I picked him up at SFO. He moved into a house near upper Market Street. The first night he was here was great. We had a huge party with seafood and tequila (of course.) I found a specialty cake shop in the Mission that made a star-shaped cake, but that tasted like pickles! It was actually made of chocolate and nuts.

At the end of the party, I was telling Robert about geocaching and we decided to hide one near his house. We returned afterwards only to find that we had consumed all the food and the drinks were running a bit low. So we did what all good college students would do - pizza delivery!
