Oldest building still in use in Delta. Built in 1884 originally as a livery stable of brick construction, the building then occupied 1 1/2 lots and would have threfore included half of the adjoining store site. In 1902 the livery stable was relocated and the north and west walls of the orginal livery were modified and two stores replaced the livery. The corner store opened in 1902 as a dry goods and gents furnishing store, and has remained the same type of business ever since.
