Reflecting on Progression - Year 5, Veteran
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This series is to discuss, reminisce and maybe even laugh at our progression in Geocaching. Year 5, maybe we like this sport?!
The name of this cache is VETERAN. If you have stayed in the sport to your fifth year, you are now officially a VETERAN. You have seen most cache types, probably have done a puzzle or two, a multi or two and maybe even found caches while vacationing. You probably have more than one GPSr and carry at least a couple of TOTT's with you, even when not caching.
While there are no logging requirement or challenge, please feel free to mention a memory from your fifth year of caching. My fifth year of caching was 2006. In my fifth year, I attempted a cache above 14,000 feet, but started at 2:00 PM. That is the WRONG time to start climbing a mountain that high as snow, wind and lightning drove me off the mountain when I reached 13,900 feet (this was in August).
There is a nice FTF gift in this cache, 5 Two Dollar Bills.
