Geocache Description:

A short 2.5 mile hike from the trailhead to this place. Bolt shelter is a very old shelter which is in need of repair. Cache is a four latch camo painted container with a log only, but room for trade items and trackables.

Bolt Camp Shelter, 2.5 miles from the trailhead (NW Forest Pass required), was constructed around 1921 by shake bolt cutters. It was restored by volunteers in 1991. Now 2012 and it is in need of another rebuild, damaged by winter storms. But someone wants to rebuild the shelter and has left contact information. I’ve tried to confirm the e-mail address, but so far no luck. I include the picture so you can see for your self. If your interested Call the phone number, otherwise enjoy the hike and find the cache. You’re looking for a small four latch camo painted container with a log only, but room for trackables and small trade items.
