Geocache Description:

Ammonoosuc Rail Trail Cache #52

This cache was originally placed by ctv4ever but now that they have relocated to Alabama htey archived the cache. The new cache is in the same spot as the old one as near as I can tell.

The original cache info was:

After finding a cache that is along the way you will skip, hop, or go for a nice walk down a gravel road next to the river. In the winter you can use your snowmobile or snow shoes or 4 wheeler in the summer.

Well this is a good place to come on a day like today. It was great to be out on a gorgeous sunny day walking down the road picking up stones and throwing them in the water, listening to the splash. Got me pondering about what I know about stones. Stones have been used for so many different things from buildings to judgement. I was thinking about how stones and words are a lot alike. They can be thrown carelessly or with purpose and the effects can be as harmful physically as words can emotionally. Either way the stone isn't harmful when held onto, its when we let go of it things happen. So when you are hunting for this cache, and you have been harmed by a " stone " do what I did, pick up a stone and let it go in to the water so that you can let go of the scar it left you. I don't know just felt like sharing. The cache is a bison tube ( not micro ) that has a few trade items in it. It is not camo'd but does blend in well with its surroundings. Have fun hunting.

------------------------------------

Many of the areas along the trail are populated, so please use stealth.
I hope to populate the entire 19 miles of the A.R.T. with geocaches, so should anyone want to place a cache, please try and space them about 1,000 feet from previous caches. I plan on producing a commemorative coin for the trail that will be available only by helping place caches so let me know if you'd like to help.
