Camo'd lock & lock box, just a few feet off the road.
This one is named for a clump of purple iris close by the cache. It should be pretty easy to find, but do watch out for poison oak and rattlesnakes! You may see the occasional bald eagle here, and in the summertime look for white pelicans on the lake. There’s an osprey nest atop a nearby power pole and you can see these large black and white “fish hawks” swooping down to grab fish from the lake.
2025
Well, there's no lake here any more, just the river, but it's still a lovely place and will improve as time goes on and new vegetation covers the mud left behind when the lake was drained.
