Geocache Description:

This short series begins on the Northern Tier Trail at Towar Rd and continues past a dog park, the East Lansing Aquatic center, through Abbot Park, past Ashton Lakes Park to the south, past Abbey Park to the North, and ends at the water tower.  The distance from end to end is a little under 2 miles.

Welcome to Abbey park.  Isn't it great?  There's a rumor that they may extend the trail through here to be a real trail instead of a deer trail, but at least until then, here is a cache.  Be careful where you step, and I would highly recommend entering where I placed the additional waypoint.  There is a drainage ditch between the sidewalk and the cache and the waypoint gets you to the right side of it.  You will need to crest a small ridge (I stepped in an animal hole near the top of it) and go back down to the low area of the park.  This area may be wet at times. The cache is a round container painted green slightly larger than a matchstick container.
