Geocache Description:

SLO: Mala cerkvica na izredni razgleni točki.

ENG: A small church on the extraordinary view point.

SLO: Cerkev sv. Pavla že z dominantno lego na robu planote sporoča svojo pomembno zgodovinsko vlogo. Cerkev je bila sezidana v 13. stoletju na ostankih rimskega tabora. Dve stoletji pozneje je cerkev služila kot protiturški tabor, ko je bila tudi znana božja pot. V neposredni bližini cerkve najdemo tudi ostanke keltskega grobišča. Danes nam lokacija ponuja enega najlepših razgledov po Vipavski dolini.

Priporočamo, da parkirate avtomobil v vasi in se do cerkvice odpravite peš. Pot je kratka in ni naporna.

ENG: Church of St.. Paul has the dominant position on the edge of the plateau indicates its important historical role. The church was built in the 13th century on the ruins of a Roman camp. Two centuries later, the church served as against Turks, it was well known pilgrimage. Near the church we find the remains of a Celtic cemetery. Today, our location offers one of the most beautiful views of the Vipava Valley.

We recommend that you park your car in the village and walk to the church. The trail is short and not difficult.
