This cache is part of the Pvt. George Shannon Trail caches that will lead you throughout Northeastern Nebraska. Pvt. Shannon became lost near here while traveling with Lewis and Clark and the Corp of Discovery in 1804.
As Pvt Shannon wandered around country he found himself in the "center" of Knox County Nebraska. Center is the county seat of Nebraska and recorded a population of 94 during the 2000 census.
Bring a picnic lunch and spend some time relaxing in this park. Please do not disturb the landscaping while searching for this cache.
