Geocache Description:

Seymour Bushland Reserve covers 62 hectares of land.  It was once known as the Kitchener Military Camp.  Later, it became a staging areafor the armed forces during the First and Second World Wars.  Used as a military training ground until the 1960's, it is scattered throughout with military relics.  Grazing then occurred until 1978.  Since then the park has become the natural woodland you see today.

This is a night cache...

You can only complete this cache whilst it is dark...

You will need your own torch!  A mobile phone light/torch will not suffice. When using your torch, please ensure that you look for the reflectors from the torch beam, holding it at waist height and looking normally may not work.

The first waypoint is simply a carpark that is suitable and safe to park your car.

The second waypoint is where you will find an item that you will be required to take with you on your trip in order to "see" the coordinates at the third waypoint.  Please ensure that you place this item back where you found it as you will ruin it for all who follow you if you don't.  From this location, you will need to use your torch in order to see reflectors that I have placed in strategic locations.  These reflectors will only be able to be seen from the previous reflector.  You must stand at the reflector in order to shine the light onto the next reflector.  All reflectors are visible with a normal "Dolphin" brand torch, smaller torches also work.  You can only see one reflector at a time. A yellow reflector designates the end of the course.

The third waypoint is the most important of all.  It is where you are going to "see" the coordinates for GROUND ZERO.  It is important at this stage to highlight that you will need to use the item you retrieve from waypoint two at this location.  This is the only time you will need to use it.

Ground Zero does pose a small hazard to everyone.  Please be careful.  You will need to use your torch to navigate to this location.  You can make your own way out of the area and back to your car from ground zero.

Warning

The cache is relatively easy to get to.  Just be careful, you will need to keep an eye on any GeoKids that may accompany you on this adventure.  There are large holes, stumps, concrete, wild animals, slippery surfaces and the like.
