The Little Dike Traditional Cache
Goddess of Wisdom: I have decided to archive this cache. I have just been waiting until someone picked up the tackable that had been recently dropped off. It was no longer in the container, but apparently was not logged out correctly by whoever took it, so I have marked it as missing. Thanks to everyone who has found this cache over the years. It is a nice hiding spot. Maybe someone else will put out a hide here.

A traditional cache hidden near Battle Run Trail where it crosses the top of the smaller of two dikes beside Summersville Lake, about 5 miles south of Summersville, West Virginia.
From State Route 129, turn into the small gravel parking area on the northeast side of the highway at coordinates N38° 13.116, W080° 54.632. Beside the parking area you will see a red gate and an unpaved maintenance road going into the woods beyond it. This is the beginning of the 4+ mile Battle Run trail. However, the cache is hidden near the south end of the first (small) dike that the trail crosses, so your hike to the hiding place will be much shorter than that! Just park, proceed on foot out the trail beyond the gate, and follow your GPSr to the spot.
The cache is a quart size lock-n-lock type container that contains several trade items, a log book, and pen.
