Cache is about a 300m bushwack off of one of the UNB woodlot roads/ski trails. The cache has been placed in honour of Skinner's Pond P.E.I. [Prince Edward Island] as the hometown of folk song legend "Stompin' Tom Connors".
Cache container is a mid-sized screwtop container placed within a unique object that should be both winter-friendly and for the most part, water resistant. Cache contents include a log book, pencil, some small stash items and originally, a TB for the FTF to move along.
Stompin Tom is best known [at least to Atlantic Canadians] as a lively entertainer who stomped out the beat to his unique songs with his left boot on a thick sheet of plywood. Some of his best known songs include Bud the Spud, Big Joe Mufferaw, and The Good Old Hockey Game.
My personal favorite was the jingle he sang for promoting Tourism P.E.I......including the 1-800 number to call for information on Island activities. Bonus Points to those who can e-mail me the number....Double bonus points if you can give me some lines from the jingle he sang.
