All the Island Spirit Legacy Caches are within a 2 steps of the trail, unless otherwise noted. There is no need to bushwack or trample the vegetation.
Napa North
The lush fertile soil of the Cowichan River watershed creates pasture for livestock, bountiful farmland and also an excellent vine growing environment. With the warm Mediterranean-like growing conditions, along with vintners who had a dream, the wine industry has firmly taken root in the Cowichan Valley. Because of the wealth of experience of the growers and producers, the Cowichan Valley is quickly gaining a reputation for award winning wines. Tour around the large and small wineries and you'll soon find out first-hand why this area is sometimes referred to as “Napa North” and “la Provence du Nord”. Some wineries offer special services like meeting and event facilities, wedding venues and even a spot to enjoy a picnic.
