Geocache Description:

Located midway between Granard and Ballinalee (Co. Longford) on the R194, this monument pays tribute to all involved in battles or skirmishes that were part of Ireland's path to independence. There is no need to go into the enclosure, although you are encouraged to do so. There is off-road parking at the fence; be careful when leaving as this can be a busy road. The cache is a magnetic micro so BYOP; initials only please.
