The Cache is at one entrance to Stoborough Heath Nature reserve.
Since the 1700s Dorset's heathland has declined at an alarming rate - from 40,000 Hectares in 1759 to around 6,000 Hectares today.
Heathers and gorse are the most important parts of the heath, providing food and shelter for a wide variety of species. Dartford warblers, smooth snakes, nightjars, silver-studded blue butterflies and heath grasshoppers are all found here.
Parking is available just past the railway bridge on the left. Please be careful going back along the road with small children and dogs.
The cache is a disguised container and only contains a log book so please bring a pen. ***Congratulations to Glynrob on FTF!!***
