This cache was placed in memory of John Lewallen, the father of a co-worker of mine. Below is their story.
Once in a Blue Moon you get to witness the true love of a daughter and her Dad... this is their story.
One of the reasons why I love the show Mad Men is becasue it reminds me so much of my dad. Every day he would go to work in a suit and tie .... He always looked so handsome. My dad was the most important man in my life. He sent his two girls to college and provided a nice life for his wife and kids. He passed away December 28, 2010.
When we were little, my dad traveled a lot for his work, and he would always bring us "presents" from his trip. When I was a teenager, he didn't bring presents anymore, but he always gave me the change in his pockets from whatever country he had just visited - francs, pesos, etc. I have had that change in a cup on my dresser for over 30 years now. I think it's fitting to include a coin from his travels in this geocache.. as it represents a small "treasure" to be discovered by someone who is traveling. Dad was an engineer and enjoyed traveling, golf, cruises and going out with his friends to eat ribs in Ponca City at the Blue Moon. My friend Sherry, who love geocaching, is placing this coin there in his honor. Love you Dad
