Geocache Description:

And old bridge turned into a park, that I felt needed some attention BYOP Parking at Windham Mills off Main Street. N 41° 42.600' W 72° 12.375'

I normally don't do this, because I think it ruins part of the fun of what you're looking for, but I've gotten a number of logs that misrepresent the description of the cache, which leads me to believe there's another cache-like container for (possibly) another seek & find game.

With that said, you're looking for a nano container, doing what it does best: hiding in its natural habitat.

For those who are new to geocaching with roughly >10 finds: This may not be missing as you might think. This is a container that's very common, yet can be very hard to spot (*cough*there may be spoiler images in the photos*cough*). Please consider this before assuming it's missing :)

Cache Details:
Parking is at Windham Mills
This bridge is so close to 32 yet so far away from many people. It seems to go overlooked by much of the townsfolk, as not many people are here that often
The cache is located on an old road that was made defunct after the Frog Bridge was completed around the year 2000.
I remember driving over this bridge when I was younger and it was a very scary bridge. It was very thin and left very little room for two lanes of traffic. When you're walking towards the cache, that is the bridge. Try to imagine two lanes of traffic on this narrow bridge and how harrowing it was if you had a wide car or box truck. As time went on, as much as I was going to miss driving over the bridge, I also was glad that I didn't have to drive on it anymore as I felt an accident was inevitable.

However I chose this spot because of its beautiful scenery. The town has done a great job making this area very nice and enjoyable and is a great spot to just sit down and relax near the river in many different spots. I picked my favorite spot, of the whole bridge as you can see the waterfall and down river from here. Once you find the cache, take a picture, relax, or go on your way.

Small History of Bridge:
This new park used to be a part of the American Thread Company which ran from the late 1800s to 1985.
The American Thread Company was very iconic for the city of Willimantic, which the city celebrates by having one of its two symbols as a spool of thread. The other symbol is a frog. The nearby Frog Bridge has a frog sitting on a spool of thread on each corner of the bridge.

The American Thread Company ran alongside the Willimantic River, and also has an unseen Mill Site 4 running along Route 32 which burned down in the early 1990s. The old foundations and mechanisms at the newly enlarged part of Rec Park are also a part of the American Thread Co.

After much environmental cleanup, part of the ATC was turned into living quarters, and also a park. The park lays where one of the buildings once stood. There used to be a large walkway going over the road approximately at the same spot where the stairs are going towards the cache.
Some additional reading I found
