Lost In Lanercost? Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A roadside cache near to the historic Lanercost Priory, along National Cycle Route 72. I'm no historian, so won't go on at length about it, apart from saying that it was founded in the 12th Century by Henry II and destroyed in the 16th Century by another Henry, the VIII of course. For more information you will have to go and visit the Priory to find out for yourself! Apart from that its in a beautiful location in the Irthing Valley, just up from the river, and not far from Hadrian's Wall.
Everyone appears to be lost when driving round here, but the signpost points the way!
Theres the usual $1,000,000 prize for FTF, so go grab it....
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Congratulations to nickieshill for FTF!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
UPDATE JUNE 2014: MANY CACHERS ARE NOT SIGNING THE LOGSHEET AND CLAIMING FINDS. SO PLEASE JUST TAKE A PEN, AND SIGN BEFORE CLAIMING YOU FOUND IT!
