Looking straight down Essington Lewis Avenue (north) you'll see the Iron Maiden - OneSteel's Blast Furnace. (The structure that looks like it has the frame of a shed on top.)

This furnace was built in 1965. The last major rebuild was in 2004 when the whole furnace was stripped of its lining and all the internals were replaced.
The furnace capacity is around 3600 tonnes of molten iron every day. That is around the same weight as 2100 Holden VE Commodores!
The record production since 2004 is 3726 tonnes in one day.
To produce 3600 tonnes the following inputs are used.
