Camp Byng is celebrating its 90th Birthday. So here is a cache.
While Scouts have been camping on the property since at least 1915, it was only in 1922 that the camp property was leased by Scouting.
On July 26, 1922 the camp was officially opened by the then Governor-General of Canada and Chief Scout of Canada, Lord Byng of Vimy.
Accessible from the beach only (unless you are camping at Byng).
Cache is a camo ammo can.
If approach is from the beach, ascend on left side of the waterfall, crossing first ford or using the bridge further up.
*New* Camp Ranger has granted permission to use the paths from the parking on Lower road down to the beach directly, provided cachers are respectful of the grounds and any scout group present.
Please report any concerns to the office 604-886-2686
