I love this area! Growing up and living my whole life in the west, it's amazing how infrequently I visit flat terrain!
You can really feel the connection with the water here! Steep little Gnat Creek rushes out of the foothills and hits the floodplain/delta around Blind Slough, and its character changes so dramatically.
Even though there are homes and working farms all around, the entire area feels amazingly "back-woodsy" to me.
