Where Old meets Older and Beyond Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Andalusite: This cache has been missing for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs or logged into geocaching.com since Saturday, 28 September 2013 I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

The contents of the original cache and the area it is placed, reflects that this one has been located, as has ‘Where old meets older’, with Geokids in mind and may also be helpful to those who need a less difficult terrain to negotiate

Located within mid Wales, off the A470. This will entail a short walk from Llanidloes town and the ‘Rippling Severn’ and ‘Vandals took the Handles’ caches are less than around a mile away. You may also find “Where old meets older” cache before hunting for this one.

Hafren Terrace is a no through road and there will generally only be traffic from residents who live on it. The walkway following Hafren Terrace is not accessible to vehicles and is a peaceful area where Geocachers can enjoy a short walk out if staying in or around Llanidloes. Local walkers, cyclists and runners find this terrace and the walkway a popular place to keep fit. This cache is pushchair/buggy and wheelchair friendly as is ‘Where old meets older’.

From the forked road at ‘Where old meets older’ co-ordinates, take the left fork and along the walkway to the Rugby club. Cache can be found on the right hand side within a hollow in the bank at co-ordinates given. No other clues needed. Enjoy the walk further down the lane, into the rugby club and to the River Severn.

Enjoy another cache in Llani. More to come I hope.

Message to local people who enjoy hunting for caches - please be encouraged to hide a cache - we need more around here for those who like to seek. Thanks.
