Welcome to our first geo cache. This cache is near what I like to call the secret garden, Althought it doesn't much look like a garden its a wall area with a gate and benches, but its easy to miss if you don't know its there. My sister has more knowledge of this area and she’d never noticed it till I pointed it out.
When researching before placing the cache we asked a few people we know about the Garden/viewing area. They told us it has always been there and was built as a viewing area for the local people. It is not council and is not maintained by them. It is maintained by local people, and there are some memorial plaques that have been placed there for loved ones. I have seen it full of flower pots and colour but it seems to have lost that colour at the moment and it’s not at its best. But this does not take anything away from the views, and there are two benches for you to sit down and relax on and watch the world go by. If any local people can tell us anything else about the garden/viewing area please let us knows. It can be done as a drive by or as part of a walk incorporating other caches in the area. The cache is a small container in a camouflaged bag, a log, pencil, sharpener, and a small something for the FTF and some swaps. Please note it is not in the dry stone wall.
