Historic Hamilton: Gage Park
Historic Hamilton will be a series of caches that serve to bring cachers to historic places in and around the City of Hamilton. These caches can be placed by anyone, and are not limited to one CO. If you know of a historic place that you would like to bring people to, feel free to add it to the series!
This is a 2 stage multi that replaced the old HH: Gage Park cache. That one kept on getting muggled, so we wanted to hide this one where muggles wouldn't go! Stage 1 has the coordinates to the Final. You will need to use stealth, and re-hide cache exactly as found or better. As always, bring your own writing instrument to sign the logbook. Parking can be found off of Lawrence Street in the lot, or at the Hamilton Children's Museum, with an entrance off of Main Street.
Gage Park is a large, multi-purpose park with recreational opportunities, passive areas, and historical significance. It offers a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, tennis, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and lawn bowling, and has a considerable amount of open space, which makes it an excellent location for festivals. Gage Park also has two playgrounds, a bandshell, greenhouses, gardens, the Children's Museum, and the beautiful Gage Park Fountain.
Congratulations to metalnewton on the FTF!
