Cache is a small lock & lock located outside of an abandoned park in Brownstown Borough. Parking is available at the dead end on Gable street. Trailhead is on your left. No need to go into the posted no trespassing areas on the right.
I've been wanting to put a cache somehwere in Brownstown almost since I started caching. However, I had been unable to locate a suitable location until now. In talking to my brother-in-law, he told me about a park he used to play at in the Borough when he was a youngling. Upon doing some research, I found this wonderful spot. Unfortunately, the location has seen its better days. The path to the cache will take you along the southern wall of the old park up an old tram road.
When you get near GZ, it is a short walk in the woods from there. Leave the heavy gear at home. You won't need it. It's a walk in the woods, but I did it in sneakers with no special gear.
