Geocache Description:

From Wikipedia:

Tiaina Baul "Junior" Seau Jr. was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) who became a San Diego sports icon. Known for his passionate playing style, he was a 10-time All-Pro, 12-time Pro Bowl selection, and named to the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team.
Of Samoan descent, Seau played college football at the University of Southern California. He was taken by the San Diego Chargers as the fifth overall pick of the 1990 NFL Draft. Seau starred for 13 seasons for the Chargers before being traded to the Miami Dolphins, where he spent three years before four final ones with the New England Patriots. Seau retired from pro football in 2010. A standout on San Diego's only Super Bowl team, he was later inducted into the Chargers Hall of Fame and the team retired his number 55.

My first memory of Junior was his first preseason game as a rookie versus the Los Angeles Raiders.  He was ejected on the very first play for retaliating against one of those dirty, rotten, stinking Raiders, a team that he never would take any crap from.

A few years later I remember him intercepting a pass against the Raiders in a game that clinched the first playoff appearance for the Chargers in over a decade.  I remember him gleefully returning that pick back downfield, holding the ball in one hand high above his head taunting all the fans of LA.

I also remember driving to work one morning and hearing he had been traded to Miami.  I almost pulled over and ripped the Charger sticker off the back of my car.  Life went on without him and the Chargers started winning again and eventually faced the Patriots in the 2007 AFC Championship.  And lining up against them that day was the best linebacker to have ever worn the bolts.  Junior was now playing for New England and I can still see him stuffing Michal Turner for loss on 3rd and goal.  Well at least that play got him another shot at a ring when the Patriots won that game and went on to the Super Bowl.

You will be missed Junior.
