2012 International Geocaching Day
2012 International Geocaching Day is on Saturday August 18, and to mark the day Geocaching Brisbane will be hosting a Park Party to celebrate the day. A BBQ will be provided for those wanting to cook something up.
Venue: Capalaba Regional Park, Pittwin Road North, Capalaba.
Time: 10am to 2pm
For: Gathering for a chat, BBQing, and perhaps an activity or two.
Public transport: Best to travel from the city by bus (Veolia Route 250, translink will suggest other routes with transfer at Carindale but go for 250 as its direct.). Nearest train station is at Birkdale which is some distance away.
What to Bring: You will need to bring your lunch (a BBQ device will be provided for cooking your lunch if required), chair, shelter if you like.
We will update the event page as we get closer to the event so put the event on your watchlist to you get all the updates.
The event will be in a less used part of the park, but is still close to toilets, playground and Car Park. The park has plenty of room to throw things around, and there is a bike path for the kids to bring the bikes.
