General Watkins Conservation Area south of Benton,Missouri on Hwy. 61. Travel south on Hwy. 61 from Benton,MO till you come to a gravel road on your right. This entrance can be hard to spot so keep an eye on your GPSr. A short distance up the road is a parking area. Hike in past the barrier gate to the cache.
Small cache I scavenged from Meramec River area. This container was 174 feet from coords. and efforts to contact the cache owner were in vain and there is a new cache at that location now. The small log book is for the new cache and interested cachers can look at the old log book which has some entries from 2001. The swag is original also. To find this new hide hike down the trail till your compass needle points to your left at a right angle. I suggest going on another 50 feet to gain good access. When close to GZ look for a lay down(cut tree limbs on the ground). The hide is in these branches and tree limbs. If you hear muggles just stand still,they can't see you, at least in the warmer months anyway. Watch for critters and such and try this one during the day only. Take care during hunting season. Permission granted by MDC. Cache is now regular size.
