Geocache Description:

CACHE IS AT LISTED COORDINATES. Bring tweezers or similar tool to retrieve log. Terrain is now 1 or 1.5, but I don't want to mess anyone's stats up.

I have not seen many Challenge Caches in our region, so here's one.  It is inspired by GC1D528 - Caching Through the Alphabet, which I logged in January on a trip through Indiana.  That was inspired by "Minnesota Challenge: Alphabet Soup" GC182QM.

The location is inspired by the No Passing Zone signs that are all along this road.  As a child in the days before car DVD players and Nintendo DS and cell phones, we had to entertain ourselves in other ways.  The Alphabet Game required my sisters and I to find letters somewhere outside the station wagon.  It was tough at then end, since X, Y, and Z were not commonly used letters in California.  Though I noticed when we visited my cousins in Minnesota that they had "No Passing Zone" signs - and I didn't like that.  For one thing, I figured drivers should all know what a solid yellow line means.  For another, I didn't think it was very fair that they could get Z's so easily!

This challenge is to find one cache for each letter of the alphabet (i.e. A = At His Feet (GC3M11X), B = Baldwin Boat Ramp (GC16Z04), C = Citygarden Tour (GC2AX7Q)). You don’t have to do them in any particular order. You don’t even have to do them all in Illinois and Missouri. The only requirement is you do one cache for each letter of the alphabet. To make this a true challenge, caches must start with the actual letter it is representing. As in the example: "The name is BOND, Shadrach Bond that is" (GC11XBF) would only count for the letter "T", not "N".  I'll even be nice and allow you to use this cache for your Z - but no logging it until you have logged all the other letters first.

Below are the guidelines.

1. Find a cache for each letter of the alphabet. (see examples given above)
2. All finds do not have to be in Illinois - or in the US for that matter.
3. Traditional, multi, unknown, virtual, webcam, earthcaches, Whereigo – all count
4. Once you have completed all the requirements, I would prefer a bookmark list if you are a premium member but will accept an emailed list of finds in Excel/Word/Notepad/etc with Name and GC Code listed.   (To email, go to my profile page.)
5. You may seek the cache once you have completed the challenge (or once you only need Z).
5a.  Special allowance - if you are just traveling through, visiting relatives etc, and do not figure you will be coming this way again, AND you do not live in SLAGA territory (www.geostl.com), I will allow you to physically find and sign the physical cache log - but you may not log this challenge as found until you have all 26 letters.
6.  I reserve the right to delete any logs that don't meet all the cache requirements.

The actual container is a magnetic key holder with a log sheet only so you will need to bring your own pencil.

Happy Caching!!!
Congrats to LFrank for FTF!
