Geocache Description:

The Crow Wing Trail is part of the TransCanada Trail system and was first used by Native peoples and later by traders on their way from Winnipeg to St. Paul, Minnesota.  It traveled along what was the eastern shore of the ancient glaciel Lake Agassiz.  As the soil is sandier here, travel was easier.  Take a few minutes to read the plaques placed here by the Crow Wing Trail Association to describe the history of the area. The Ridgeville Hall was constructed in 1967 to replace the old hall which was located where the present-day Ridgeville Co-op Community Club is up the street.  It was built with volunteer labor and is maintained today by a volunteer committee.  Weddings, funerals, socials, 4-H activities, etc take place here in our small but busy community.

Container is a large micro.  Contains a log sheet - please bring your own pencil or pen.  A certificate for the FTF for a beverage at The Club is included.  This cache should be winter friendly.

Congratulations to jean deniche and klblue on being the FTF!
