Located on SH 4 between Wanganui and Raetihi...it takes you on a long and winding road in the hills, which can be stunning in good weather...or a nightmare if the weather is not playing ball.
Named after a stage in a video game I often played as a teenager...Crash Bandicoot...This section of SH 4 always reminds me of it. It gives a hint to my age as well...ahem. Easy parking can be had very close to the cache...a true drive-by. Stunning views can be had in good weather down the valley, and if you are not impressed by the sunset from this vantage point, check your pulse...you might well be dead! The Cache is a tiny covered bottle, which shouldn't prove to be a difficult find. I love these drive-bys myself...now I am giving back. Please be careful to ensure it is well hidden before you leave.
