Geocache Description:

17 year periodical cicadas are sometimes referred to as 17 year locusts. These bugs have one of the longest life cycles of any insect. They emerge in mid may to early June in such high numbers that natural predators become overwhelmed.  I recently had some of these insects emerging in my yard 4 years ahead of schedule. These early emergers are called stragglers and are eaten quickly by birds. The next expected mass emergence of 17 year cicadas will not happen until 2021 in this area.

Solve the following to obtain correct coords: Quincy Illinois, Des Moines Iowa, Rochester New York, New Haven Connecticut, Greenville South Carolina, Syracuse New York, Marietta Ohio, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Congrat's to captphil for FTF!!
