The Dragonfly's Treasure Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

eyeonsparrows: This cache had a nice, long life, but the log is full, we're at a busy spot in our lives where it takes us a regretfully long several days to go squeeze in time to gather the cache and maintain it as needed, and perhaps if it's gone, the area is now open for an eager geocacher to place a new and exciting creative cache around here somewhere. Thank you muchly to all the wonderful cachers who have visited it over the years! We've loved this cache, and we're glad you were part of the experience!

Geocache Description:

Located shortly off a paved excercise/biking/walking trail in a public park.  Near GZ requires some not-difficult bushwhacking through a not-too-crowded woodsy floor (easily manuveurable, requires watching for downed braches, sticks, mild underbrush, weedy-ness). Long pants may be a wise idea, but my 1st grader in shorts came through unscathed.  I did see some prickly stuff, but avoided easily. Cache is a large plastic ammo container, filled with goodies galore.

I'd originally placed this cache as a birthday treat for my son, dragonflyisaac, as a feature at his geocaching-themed birthday party ('cause you can't have a geocaching party without a geocahe!).  He is an avid geocacher, and I'd named the cache The Dragonfly's Treasure as a nod to his geocaching name. The cache should be easy to find, as it was designed to be found by a group of young kids, most with no prior geocaching experience. It started out being pretty swag-heavy, and hopefully still is whenever you pop by. I'll swing by every now and then as we have suitale old toys that need clearing out of the playroom to keep the stock bumped up. While you'e in the area, I wholeheartedly recommend also checking a cache not far off, "Dragonfly Birthday," by 39chevy. We really appreciate the gesture of it, and loved the cache and the pretty location. We tried to mark it as a favorite when logging it, but the computer being quirky rendered both my son and I unable to, so instead I'll advertise here that we LOVED visiting that cache, loved the kindess of his making it, and would love to put out there to all that we recommend you stop by and visit it, too, while you're near. Thank you again, 39chevy.
