Geocache Description:

There are approximately 372 Drive-In Theaters in the United States currently. At its peak of popularity Oregon had 55 operating Drive-In theaters, but has only four that are currently still open.  We are among the luckiest to live in an Oregon Community who still is graced with one of these icons.
The 99W Drive-in Theater opened in August of 1953 with “Sea Devils” and “Under the Sahara” as the first two features played.  The Drive-in can accommodate 275 to 300 cars. The audio is broadcast on FM which was added in 1993.

Please park either next door at Burger King or around the corner at the small strip mall. The cache can be easiest accessed from the strip mall parking lot.

The container is creative so don’t worry you won’t get a “shock” unless you forget to log your find.

This cache was part of the 2012 Newberg Old Fashioned Festival Coin Challenge.
